Obama supposedly recently denounced the comments by his pastor of 20 years, the pastor who married him and baptized his kids. ONLY after the media found out about this wacko, anti-Semitic, racist, gyrating monkey did Obama have him leave his campaign. Jeremiah Wright thinks the U.S. invented the AIDS virus, thinks American is a “damned” place, and thinks that white people are evil. There is no denying, however, that a strand of radical black political theology influences Trinity. James Cone, the pioneer of black liberation theology, is a much-admired figure at Trinity. Cone told me that when he’s asked where his theology is institutionally embodied, he always mentions Trinity. Cone’s groundbreaking 1969 book Black Theology and Black Power announced: “The time has come for white America to be silent and listen to black people…. All white men are responsible for white oppression…. Wright agrees. When I asked him whether white Americans are right to maintain that the racial situation has improved since the days when Africentric Christianity was born, Wright pointed to the racist remarks by radio host Don Imus: “And you say things have improved?”

Michelle Malkin has some good commentary on it as well, on how cracks are beginning to appear in this false messiah Obama.

RedState has a disturbing press release about an attorney general who infringes the free speech of employees just because they work for a government-funded institution. Ridiculous. 

Drew Edmondson is the Oklahoma Attorney General.  Recently he rounded up conservative activists and threw them in jail for circulating petitions to get conservatives on the ballot.

Now, however, Oklahoma Atty Gen. Drew Edmondson has done something even nuttier.  He has issued an advisory opinion from the Attorney General’s Office directing universities and public employees in Oklahoma to refrain from using or writing the word “Christmas.”

Mark Tapscott with the Washington Examiner has the details.  Mark notes, “Edmondson issued an advisory opinion to officials at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford advising them that the word “Christmas” should not be spoken by any employee of the state school, not written in any official holiday decorations.”

Strange, isn’t it… our government has a problem pursuing employers who knowingly hire illegal aliens but has no problem going after small businesses and nonprofit organizations that simply ask employees to speak English while they’re on the clock!

First, liberals told us we had to give up our religion, even during Christmas and the rest of the holiday season:

That’s right!  The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) is going after a Salvation Army thrift store BECAUSE IT REQUIRED EMPLOYEES TO SPEAK ENGLISH ON THE JOB!  The store even gave everyone a year to learn English. Two refused and were fired.

Here’s what we’re heading toward:

You go into a shoe store and the clerk doesn’t even know the English word for shoe.

The waiter in a restaurant can’t understand what you’re ordering and brings you soft-boiled eggs instead of fried chicken.

A worker in a sawmill cuts off your right arm because he doesn’t know the meaning of “STOP!”

This madness is one more consequence of allowing 12-20 million illegal aliens to pour across our borders unchecked.

This time, however, somebody is saying “NO MORE! ENOUGH!”

Senator Lamar Alexander (R-TN) has introduced a bill that — if passed — would stop EEOC dead in its tracks.

His bill would “make clear that it is not against federal law for an employer to require employees to speak English on the job.”

Since Congress created the EEOC, it has the authority to tell it what to do AND WHAT NOT TO DO!

Hundreds of Businesses Harassed By The EEOC For Requiring English…

Here is what Senator Alexander says about his bill in a press release.

“A federal agency says it’s illegal for an employer to require employees to speak in English, which, in plain English, means that thousands of small businesses in American would have to hire a lawyer and be prepared to make their case to a federal agency that there is some special reason to justify speaking English on the job.  I believe this is a gross distortion of the Civil Rights Act and a complete misunderstanding of what it means to be an American.”

Lest anyone think this bill would force illegal aliens to speak English at all time, Alexander said this;

“This bill’s not about affecting people’s lunch hour or coffee break — it’s about protecting the rights of employers to ensure their employees can communicate with each other and their customers during the working hours.  In America, requiring English in the workplace is not discrimination; it’s common sense.”

In other words, people can speak in Spanish, Swahili, or any other language they wish during their personal time (lunch, coffee-breaks etc.).  Anyone who says otherwise is either misinformed or lying.

By the way, Alexander originally offered a similar bill as an amendment to the Commerce, Justice and Science (CJS) Appropriations Bill; and it was added to the CJS Appropriations Bill back in June by a vote of 15-14. 

And liberals squashed it!

A conference committee was to iron out differences between the Senate and House versions and send it to the President.

But the liberals, led by Speaker Nancy Pelosi, caved in to the advocates of illegal immigration and refused to bring the bill with Alexander’s amendment before the conference committee.

Instead the radical and ruthless Pelosi presented an omnibus bill that gutted the amendment. 

Now Alexander’s back with a free-standing bill that says the same thing. 

If this bill fails, the EEOC — and liberals in government — may declare all-out war against small businesses in America.

In fact, the EEOC filed 200 ACTIONS just this year against employers because they required employees to speak English.  Given the fact that small business contributes the lion’s share of jobs and economic growth in America, this behavior is suicidal.

Press One For English

So how do the American people feel about the English language, as opposed to Nancy Pelosi and Barney Frank and Harry Reid and Teddy Kennedy?

According to a recent poll, 80 percent of Americans believe English should be the official language of the nation.

Nearly 90 percent believe it’s important for immigrants to speak English.

More that 75 percent believe employers should have the right to require their employees to speak English while on the job.

Yet our own government is actively siding with people who REFUSE to even attempt to learn the English language.

How many times a day do you dial your phone and hear: PRESS ONE FOR ENGLISH; PRESS TWO FOR SPANISH? 

Our entire education system in many parts of the country has been changed to accommodate the children of people who speak languages other than English.

A North Texas friend tells us that virtually all the downtown signs in his city of almost 200,000 are now in Spanish.

America is a melting pot… so many of us had parents, grandparents or great-grandparents who came to the United States from another country.  

Did we make such concessions to them? 

When Italians immigrated to this country, did America immediately introduce bilingual education into its schools, with math taught in Italian?

When others immigrated, did towns and cities all over the country scrap English signs and substitute signs in German or some other language?

Did anyone ever dial a government agency or bank and hear PRESS ONE FOR ENGLISH; PRESS TWO FOR SPANISH?

More to the point, did the federal government EVER intervene on behalf of immigrants who refuse to learn English?

Everyone is supposed to be treated equally in this country. 

Teddy Roosevelt had it right when he said: “We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language.”

Liberals Say Asking People To Speak English Is “Abusive.”

Of course some folks think President Teddy Roosevelt was a blow-hard patriot.

For example, there’s Laura Boston, who works for the Houston Interfaith Worker Justice Center — an organization whose name tells you it isn’t exactly conservative, or patriotic for that matter.

Ms. Boston says requiring employees to speak English is “an annoyance tactic” and “just part of abuse you sometimes get from some employers.”

You have to wonder why employers would go out of their way to annoy their workers — a tactic that would be bad for production.  In an automobile plant you’d be sure to get a few doors on backwards every shift.

Obviously Ms. Boston can’t understand — or refuses to understand – why it would be good for business AND GOOD FOR MORALE if everyone at least attempted to speak the same language.

In fact, it is a good idea for people who wish to live in the United States on a permanent basis to learn English, since fluent English is the key to better jobs and a better life. 

Why do I have the feeling the Interfaith Worker Justice Center isn’t really interested in that kind of self-improvement?

Just Who Are The Bigots Here?

The EEOC apparently isn’t interested in the role that language plays in the life of our nation. 

The agency would obviously prefer to punish employers than to encourage employees to better themselves.

Columnist Michael M. Bates summarizes the larger role that language plays in our society — and, for that matter, any society.

“Our common language is a basis for our cultural unity.  It’s far from the only language spoken in the United States, but certainly it’s the primary one.  For folks wishing to advance here, knowledge of it is essential.  We do immigrants no favors by bending over backwards trying to accommodate them in their native language, hindering their adapting to a new culture.“ [Emphasis Mine]

Those who think of illegal immigrants only in terms of economics — i.e., the benefits they bring to a select segment of corporate America — should study this paragraph.  It reflects the deepest concerns of those of us who successfully fought these same money grubbers in the U.S. Senate.  (And will do it again if they try to cram amnesty down our throats.)

Let’s face it, hindering the adaptation of an immigrant to a new culture only benefits those who seek to EXPLOIT others by creating a permanent underclass in our society… it may benefit some businesses seeking so-called cheap labor… it does benefit liberal politicians who seek more government entitlements and give-aways. 

We love our country and we want it back – what’s left of it.

And we don’t want our government persecuting benevolent organizations like the Salvation Army for requiring employees to learn English.

Talk about an ungrateful, gimme-gimme, lazy, racist, hypocritical turd. This lady lives in a nice apartment FOR FREE but gets the media to whine about utility payments, because she refuses to work. She’s only worked one year in her life. Get her off the dole, tell her to get a JOB like the rest of us, and stop stealing from other people by way of unreasonable and stupid taxes. Tax monies should go to the police, teachers, firemen, and other necessary things, and a few agencies to help people get good jobs so they can help themselves. Instead of having to give ungrateful people fish, teach grateful people how to fish. These kind of people though, shouldn’t get a penny. Not only is it stealing, but the audacity of the “gimme gimme” mindset–when she deserves non of it–is sickening. Look at their hateful eyes in the photo. She’s screaming that they won’t let everyone in, and yet it’s a first-come, first-serve basis for this public hearing. They can’t let everyone in. The reasons for not letting everyone else in has nothing to do with race. But trying to reason with such an insane person is futile.

Another left wing judge engages in judicial activism against our national security and sovereignty. Federal Judge Maxine Chesney is apparently against letting companies know they can’t knowingly hire illegal aliens. She was appointed by Clinton, no surprise there.

According to an Associated Press report,

The Social Security Administration cannot start sending out letters to employers next week that carry with them more serious penalties for knowingly hiring illegal immigrants, a federal judge ruled Friday.

Ruling on a lawsuit by the nation’s largest federation of labor unions against the U.S. government, U.S. District Judge Maxine Chesney granted a temporary restraining order prohibiting the so-called “no-match” letters from going out as planned starting Tuesday…

…Chesney said the court needs “breathing room” before making any decision on the legality of new penalties aimed at cracking down on the hiring of illegal immigrants.

She set the next hearing on the matter for Oct. 1.

Geraldo Rivera threatened to spit on Michelle Malkin simply because she has the common sense that illegal immigration is not a good thing. That’s the typical leftist response to an opposing point of view. Don’t engage the points, just threaten them. Geraldo is a buffoon.

Police fired tear gas to prevent hundreds of leftist protesters from reaching the venue of an international folk festival in Oaxaca, in the worst outbreak of violence in the troubled Mexican city since November.

So on our Common Sense Journal myspace profile we got a friends request from Becky Garrison, the leftist “Christian” who has written a book that supposedly picks on both left wing and right wing Christians. From her myspace profile:

In my book Red and Blue God, Black and Blue Church, I take aim at the battles between the warring political factions in America’s churches and illuminates both the plank in the Religious Right’s eye as well as the speck that blinds the Progressive Left.

The weird thing is is that I’ve already gotten a friends request from her on 4 or 5 different myspace profiles I run for other political organizations or religious web sites. Is she sitting there adding people all day? Or using a friend add bot?

I accepted her friends request and posted a comment. I said basically that who is she to say who has the speck and who has the plank in the eye? What’s worse, killing a baby via abortion or newborn murder (born alive infants) or throwing a baby into the dumpster (a left wing “virtue”), or wanting to lower taxes, a more conservative virtue? Isn’t it conservatives who have the speck, since they are at least not advocating murder and are for responsibility, and leftists who have the plank, who advocate abortion and are soft on crime such as murder and rape and try to find excuses to blame society or the victim?

What about conviction, the concept of sin and redemption, and personal responsibility?

I don’t necessarily toe the line on some Republican issues, for example, I am for the right for people to defend their house with a gun, but not for assault weapons. Not surprisingly, gnostic-”Christian” Brian McLaren has enorsed her book as well as a web site called Landover Baptist that bashes the church using the Straw Man fallacy, but doesn’t offer any good examples of a church. I also asked as a side note if she uses a Friend Adder bot since I’ve gotten so many requests from her on multiple profiles.

I predicted she wouldn’t approve the comment, since leftists only are tolerant if you agree with them, and therefore are not tolerant at all.

The next day she wrote back, after of course not approving the comment:

I don’t use a bot adder but add sites that I feel might want to dialogue - if you don’t want people adding you, then you can set your settings to private. BG

No duh! I didn’t mind the friend invite and I actually approved and commented. So I wrote back, paraphrase:

I didn’t mind your friend invite, I was just wondering why you keep adding all these different profiles I run, and if you use a spambot or something. You say you want to dialogue, so then why didn’t you approve the comment? Do you only approve comments from atheists/leftists/gnostic christians, or people who disagree with you as well? Do you only appove comments that bash Christians? You didn’t approve our comment, but you approved a comment that featured a person throwing the cross into a garbage can. Interesting.

You don’t want dialogue, otherwise you would have e-mailed me and approved the comment. Feel free to post a comment on our profile, and we can respond for dialogue.

I didn’t hear back, so I went to my sent folder and noticed that she had blocked me. So much for “dialogue.” She doesn’t add people she wants to dialogue with, but rather she adds people to hawk her book that bashes anyone who is a follower of Christ who is also conservative and not a leftist. And if you post any dissention to her leftist and misguided/ignorant dogma on her myspace, she blocks you.

She wouldn’t approve a comment with meaningful dialogue about how she cherry picks from the bible and only quotes verses that agree with her leftist dogma (not really any verses like that, but they can be taken out of context and twisted to “fit” leftist stance. The devil tried to use scripture for his purposes as well). But Garrison approved the comment of a person throwing away the cross in a trash can, as well as these comments, all on her profile as of July 26, 2007, many of which are from many months ago. She could have deleted them or not approve them:

A person named Nick left this comment yesterday, which Garrison approved. Apparently Garrison’s version of “Christianity” involves torturing people. Interesting.

Garrison allowed the Sex Workers organization to promote their porn and prostitution on her myspace page. Didn’t Jesus say “go and sin no more” to the prostitute? Oh wait that would require common sense and a moral guide.

Garrison let someone promote illegal drugs on her profile as well.

Someone supporting Fidel Castro the communist dictator and comparing some conservatives to a fictional villain from G.I. Joe commented this idiocy.

Garrison let this “pornifier” promote himself on her profile, saying he has written a “sacrilegous work” that is pornographic.

Comparing Bush to the devil is an lazy way of not actually debating.

So to summarize, Garrison pretends to be tolerant but only tolerates porn, dehumanization of women through prostitution, militant atheism, anti-Christian, and anti-Semitic comments but won’t approve a comment that challenges her misguided/errant leftist dogma. She doesn’t add people to dialogue, but rather to hawk her book, even if those people she adds aren’t people but just other spammers.

Drudge linked to an interesting investigative piece that shows that 9 out of 10 of “journalists” who donated to political campaigns donated to Democrats. Surprise, surprise.

Now after hearing how talk radio in part helped inform the public about the idiotic shamnesty bill that congress tried to pass, some senators want to curb the freedom of speech of talk radio hosts in order to make the public less informed about the political process! So they can attempt to hoodwink the American public into accepting shamnesty, since if we have an open debate about it it’s obviously not going to pass. We need border security with a huge concrete fence, not reward criminals.

Since conservative talk radio is MUCH more popular to say the least than leftist talk radio, the markets have shown that conservative talk radio is more successful. No big deal. Conservative senators are not out calling for CNN to be banned and other liberal outlets to be curtailed simply because they dislike their bias. But we have two leftist senators–Barbara Boxer and Hillary Clinton, calling for “legislative fix” for talk radio! This is unconstitutional! The government cannot censor things just because they disagree with them. There are exceptions to free speech, such as defamation, libel, slander, false light, obscenity, but none of these apply. These two anti-free speech leftist Senators want to curb the freedom of speech of talk radio hosts because they disagree with them! What a bunch of fascist pigs!

It’s understandable for some companies from Silicon Valley to have a liberal bias, but this is over the line. Extremist leftist propaganda that compares Bush to a Osama Bin Laden? Nevermind that we try to not bomb civilians while terrorists actually aim to kill civilians. Then all the nutroot leftists comment on the video with ignorable lies. The “Stop the Clash” video is the video featured both on the front page list as well as the top director videos, hand picked by the people behind YouTube to be featured. The video blames America for the Sept. 11 attacks. As Jon Stewart told Susan Sarandon, asking “why they hate us” is like asking white the guys in hoods hate blacks. It’s just wrong, no asking “why.” Besides, they didn’t attack us because of real or perceived American “imperialism.” They attacked us because we’re not adherents of Islam.
