I’ve enjoyed some of Jon Stewart’s comedy over the years, but enough is enough of the hypocrisy, double-think, and irrationality. Stewart often does point out problems in the media and politics, but he is often unfair in his treatment and reserves most of his scorn for those who are conservative. For example, he’s told Sarah Palin “f*ck you” when he disagreed with her painting big-city liberals as unAmerican. Other times he has used rude, crass, and idiotic attempts at humor to demean those with whom he disagrees, whether it’s saying false allegations against Republicans or just being generally mean-spirited.

Which is why it’s so strange that he would term his recent march a “call for rationality” and a “moderate march,” when it was filled with mostly leftists carrying hateful signs and irrational rhetoric.  Politico explained Stewart’s (pretend) motive:

The Rally to Restore Sanity, which merged with Colbert’s March to Keep Fear Alive, had been advertised as nonpolitical. Stewart insisted it was “a clarion call for rationality” and a collective plea for the nation to stop yelling and show more respect to those they disagree with.

I’m all for respecting people with whom you disagree, but it’s almost always the leftists/Marxisists/”progressives”/Democrats who are smearing the opposition instead of addressing their arguments, whether it’s (unbelievably) Democrats/liberals making fun of a poor innocent child who has Down syndrome and whose mother is Sarah Palin, or Democrats attacking conservative women who run for office with sick and sexist “jokes” which aren’t funny. Case in point: Jon Stewart allowed people in with signs that read “I masturbate to [conservative politician] Christine O’Donnell” and signs depicting Hitler mustaches on Republicans and conservative commentators, including Jewish Republican Eric Cantor. Ironically, the signs read “(in)sanity! and “afraid yet?”

Fact: Jon Stewart’s minions are the irrational ones stoking fear and hatred. It’s time he addressed this on his show. If Stewart does not address and condemn those signs, then he shows who he truly is: a highly partisan, self-righteous hack filled with hatred toward those with whom he disagrees, all the while pretending to be against hatred and irrationality. The hypocrisy is unbelievable, since the only ones stoking false fears and irrationality are those pretending to be against them! You can’t make this up.

Related: Apparently there are more hateful signs that were allowed into the rally, such as “Death to Right Wing Extremists (but in a nice way),” some people who were either pro-pedophilia or making a “joke” about a sickening and evil act of child abuse (not surprising coming from liberals since Stewart makes light of the evil organization NAMBLA which advocates pedphilia, on his show. It’s not funny.), God hates ideologues (no He doesn’t, because then He’d hate everyone since everyone has a philosophy, but He does hate the self-righteousness at this damned rally), and of  course leftists calling people “teabaggers” and “crazy” and implying that people who believe in God “hear voices” and are therefore crazy. God hates this guy's hypocrisy and false sign. Oh and the self-righteousness too. That other sign is so... what's the word... classy! Only a classy person would hold that sign. But in all seriousness this guy wouldn't know God if He was right in front of him in the flesh. It's funny how leftists use the rhetoric of religion for their hatred toward others but really don't believe in God. Another socialist from decades ago did that, too, and he had a very small mustache.

When are Huffington Post, Rolling Stone, and the Daily Show going to repudiate such hatred? I’m hearing crickets. The crickets are chirping because deep down all the partisan media that promoted this leftist, extremist march agree with these signs. But shhhh it’s a secret. You see, they’re “rational” and “moderate.”

Update: In another article from Yahoo! News, Stewart said at the rally “came to play nice. He decried the ‘extensive effort it takes to hate’ and declared ‘we can have animus and not be enemies.” Note to Stewart: preach this to your sycophantic drone followers. Also, where was this “rally for sanity” when the insane left was calling Bush “Hitler” for years (and still do occasionally) even though his policies–pro-life, anti-terror–are the opposite of Nazi policies?

All because irresponsible mortgage companies were pressured to lend money to irresponsible people with very low income and who couldn’t pay it back, drying up the credit and causing those companies to fail:

As one article points out, this bill is also full of free handouts, at least one of which probably was sponsored by the House speaker, Nancy Pelosi:

“That includes, as the New York Post pointed out, millions in tax breaks and related pork for kids’ wooden arrows, Puerto Rican rum producers, auto race tracks, and corporations operating in American Samoa. (The likely explanation for the latter: StarKist has a large tuna-canning operation in American Samoa. And StarKist’s parent company happens to be located in the district of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.)”

The kids in this video are chanting “Obama” like he’s some, guess what, a messiah. Listen closely: at the beginning of their march, they are chanting “alpha” and “omega.” Creepy much? Why can’t they get inspired by a real hero, not an inexperienced race hustler? Why not get inspired by God to be responsible and work hard, not inspired by a corrupt socialist?

According to the YouTube description, the school is located in Missouri. No wonder Missouri’s up for grabs, with all this brainwashing:

Instead of encouraging people to be responsible and pay back (gradually) their home loans, student loans, car payments, etc., we now have the socialists in Washington stealing taxpayer dollars from responsible borrowers to give to irresponsible borrowers who borrowed more than they could handle. Stealing from someone who works hard, to give free handouts to others who borrowed too much.

Example: I heard from someone that if you only have 15,000/year of provable income, you recently could get a home loan for up to 250,000 from some mortgage companies! Ridiculous. Then the person claims bankrupty, and it tanks the economy for the rest of us, who LIVE WITHIN OUR MEANS. The funds come from taxpayers, many of whom know to buy within their means, and buy a cheaper house that is actually afforable.

Be responsible with your income, and stop complaining for taxpayers to bail you out, whether it’s irresponsible mortgage companies or irresponsible borrowers who bit off more than they could chew. Tax funds need to go to other things, like police, education, to protect the innocent, educate people, etc., and NOT to give free handouts to irresponsible nitwits who borrowed too much.

This bill also has a “provision to allow trial judges to arbitrarily adjust mortgages, creating bonanza for trial lawyers.”

So instead of your mortgage contract having legal weight, irresponsible borrowers can sue now for their principal to be reduced, OR the government can decide to reduce the principal! Talk about free giveaways at the expense of the taxpayer.

This bill rewards irresponsibility (both wall street and irresponsible borrowers who now can get a huge deal on an expensive house) and punishes responsibility, by not allowing house prices to fall even more so those of us who bought within our means can get a nicer house.

Gee, I wish I would have bought a 400,000 house and then whine that I can’t make the payments, so I could sue to get the principal reduced or have the government reduce it to say, 200,000. Yeah that sounds right. Wow the left-wing Democrats make so much sense, don’t they? Where’s the opposition from conservative Democrats and Republicans? Call your congressman and tell them not to steal from hardworking Americans who bought a cheaper house to give to those who borrowed too much.

It’d be one thing if the bill was shorter like it started, and it just let the companies BORROW this money and then they’d have to pay it back to the taxpayers WITH INTEREST. But now it’s extremely long and filled with pork and socialist policies that steal from responsible taxpayers to give basically free houses to people who were irresponsible and borrowed too much.

Conservatives consider a primary function of the government to reduce violent crime, protect the innocent, you know, basic things. Liberals consider a primary function of the government to steal from hardworking, responsible Americans to give to embezzling, race-baiting organizations like ACORN and La Raza and to irresponsible people who borrowed too much.

Obama supposedly recently denounced the comments by his pastor of 20 years, the pastor who married him and baptized his kids. ONLY after the media found out about this wacko, anti-Semitic, racist, gyrating monkey did Obama have him leave his campaign. Jeremiah Wright thinks the U.S. invented the AIDS virus, thinks American is a “damned” place, and thinks that white people are evil. There is no denying, however, that a strand of radical black political theology influences Trinity. James Cone, the pioneer of black liberation theology, is a much-admired figure at Trinity. Cone told me that when he’s asked where his theology is institutionally embodied, he always mentions Trinity. Wright agrees. When I asked him whether white Americans are right to maintain that the racial situation has improved since the days when Africentric Christianity was born, Wright pointed to the racist remarks by radio host Don Imus: “And you say things have improved?”

Michelle Malkin has some good commentary on it as well, on how cracks are beginning to appear in this false messiah Obama.

Why would someone support Obama, a pro-partial-birth-abortion, high taxing, soft on crime socialist? Sadly he’s all talk but not honest about his voting record. People like Obama as a cult of personality. They even cheer for him when he blows his nose. What a bunch of unthinking sycophantic drones.

RedState has a disturbing press release about an attorney general who infringes the free speech of employees just because they work for a government-funded institution. Ridiculous. 

Drew Edmondson is the Oklahoma Attorney General.  Recently he rounded up conservative activists and threw them in jail for circulating petitions to get conservatives on the ballot.

Now, however, Oklahoma Atty Gen. Drew Edmondson has done something even nuttier.  He has issued an advisory opinion from the Attorney General’s Office directing universities and public employees in Oklahoma to refrain from using or writing the word “Christmas.”

Mark Tapscott with the Washington Examiner has the details.  Mark notes, “Edmondson issued an advisory opinion to officials at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford advising them that the word “Christmas” should not be spoken by any employee of the state school, not written in any official holiday decorations.”

The federal government says employers MUST hire people who REFUSE to communicate in English or face the consequences.

Strange, isn’t it… our government has a problem pursuing employers who knowingly hire illegal aliens but has no problem going after small businesses and nonprofit organizations that simply ask employees to speak English while they’re on the clock!

First, liberals told us we had to give up our religion, even during Christmas and the rest of the holiday season:

No prayers in school…
No nativity scenes on the town square…
No mention of God at high school graduations…

That’s right!  The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) is going after a Salvation Army thrift store BECAUSE IT REQUIRED EMPLOYEES TO SPEAK ENGLISH ON THE JOB!  The store even gave everyone a year to learn English. Two refused and were fired.

Here’s what we’re heading toward:

You go into a shoe store and the clerk doesn’t even know the English word for shoe.

The waiter in a restaurant can’t understand what you’re ordering and brings you soft-boiled eggs instead of fried chicken.

A worker in a sawmill cuts off your right arm because he doesn’t know the meaning of “STOP!”

This madness is one more consequence of allowing 12-20 million illegal aliens to pour across our borders unchecked.

This time, however, somebody is saying “NO MORE! ENOUGH!”

Senator Lamar Alexander (R-TN) has introduced a bill that — if passed — would stop EEOC dead in its tracks.

His bill would “make clear that it is not against federal law for an employer to require employees to speak English on the job.”

Since Congress created the EEOC, it has the authority to tell it what to do AND WHAT NOT TO DO!

Hundreds of Businesses Harassed By The EEOC For Requiring English…

Here is what Senator Alexander says about his bill in a press release.

“A federal agency says it’s illegal for an employer to require employees to speak in English, which, in plain English, means that thousands of small businesses in American would have to hire a lawyer and be prepared to make their case to a federal agency that there is some special reason to justify speaking English on the job.  I believe this is a gross distortion of the Civil Rights Act and a complete misunderstanding of what it means to be an American.”

Lest anyone think this bill would force illegal aliens to speak English at all time, Alexander said this;

“This bill’s not about affecting people’s lunch hour or coffee break — it’s about protecting the rights of employers to ensure their employees can communicate with each other and their customers during the working hours.  In America, requiring English in the workplace is not discrimination; it’s common sense.”

In other words, people can speak in Spanish, Swahili, or any other language they wish during their personal time (lunch, coffee-breaks etc.).  Anyone who says otherwise is either misinformed or lying.

By the way, Alexander originally offered a similar bill as an amendment to the Commerce, Justice and Science (CJS) Appropriations Bill; and it was added to the CJS Appropriations Bill back in June by a vote of 15-14. 

And liberals squashed it!

A conference committee was to iron out differences between the Senate and House versions and send it to the President.

But the liberals, led by Speaker Nancy Pelosi, caved in to the advocates of illegal immigration and refused to bring the bill with Alexander’s amendment before the conference committee.

Instead the radical and ruthless Pelosi presented an omnibus bill that gutted the amendment. 

Now Alexander’s back with a free-standing bill that says the same thing. 

If this bill fails, the EEOC — and liberals in government — may declare all-out war against small businesses in America.

In fact, the EEOC filed 200 ACTIONS just this year against employers because they required employees to speak English.  Given the fact that small business contributes the lion’s share of jobs and economic growth in America, this behavior is suicidal.

Press One For English

So how do the American people feel about the English language, as opposed to Nancy Pelosi and Barney Frank and Harry Reid and Teddy Kennedy?

According to a recent poll, 80 percent of Americans believe English should be the official language of the nation.

Nearly 90 percent believe it’s important for immigrants to speak English.

More that 75 percent believe employers should have the right to require their employees to speak English while on the job.

Yet our own government is actively siding with people who REFUSE to even attempt to learn the English language.

How many times a day do you dial your phone and hear: PRESS ONE FOR ENGLISH; PRESS TWO FOR SPANISH? 

Our entire education system in many parts of the country has been changed to accommodate the children of people who speak languages other than English.

A North Texas friend tells us that virtually all the downtown signs in his city of almost 200,000 are now in Spanish.

America is a melting pot… so many of us had parents, grandparents or great-grandparents who came to the United States from another country.  

Did we make such concessions to them? 

When Italians immigrated to this country, did America immediately introduce bilingual education into its schools, with math taught in Italian?

When others immigrated, did towns and cities all over the country scrap English signs and substitute signs in German or some other language?

Did anyone ever dial a government agency or bank and hear PRESS ONE FOR ENGLISH; PRESS TWO FOR SPANISH?

More to the point, did the federal government EVER intervene on behalf of immigrants who refuse to learn English?

Everyone is supposed to be treated equally in this country. 

Teddy Roosevelt had it right when he said: “We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language.”

Liberals Say Asking People To Speak English Is “Abusive.”

Of course some folks think President Teddy Roosevelt was a blow-hard patriot.

For example, there’s Laura Boston, who works for the Houston Interfaith Worker Justice Center — an organization whose name tells you it isn’t exactly conservative, or patriotic for that matter.

Ms. Boston says requiring employees to speak English is “an annoyance tactic” and “just part of abuse you sometimes get from some employers.”

You have to wonder why employers would go out of their way to annoy their workers — a tactic that would be bad for production.  In an automobile plant you’d be sure to get a few doors on backwards every shift.

Obviously Ms. Boston can’t understand — or refuses to understand – why it would be good for business AND GOOD FOR MORALE if everyone at least attempted to speak the same language.

In fact, it is a good idea for people who wish to live in the United States on a permanent basis to learn English, since fluent English is the key to better jobs and a better life. 

Why do I have the feeling the Interfaith Worker Justice Center isn’t really interested in that kind of self-improvement?

Just Who Are The Bigots Here?

The EEOC apparently isn’t interested in the role that language plays in the life of our nation. 

The agency would obviously prefer to punish employers than to encourage employees to better themselves.

Columnist Michael M. Bates summarizes the larger role that language plays in our society — and, for that matter, any society.

“Our common language is a basis for our cultural unity.  It’s far from the only language spoken in the United States, but certainly it’s the primary one.  For folks wishing to advance here, knowledge of it is essential.  We do immigrants no favors by bending over backwards trying to accommodate them in their native language, hindering their adapting to a new culture.“ [Emphasis Mine]

Those who think of illegal immigrants only in terms of economics — i.e., the benefits they bring to a select segment of corporate America — should study this paragraph.  It reflects the deepest concerns of those of us who successfully fought these same money grubbers in the U.S. Senate.  (And will do it again if they try to cram amnesty down our throats.)

Let’s face it, hindering the adaptation of an immigrant to a new culture only benefits those who seek to EXPLOIT others by creating a permanent underclass in our society… it may benefit some businesses seeking so-called cheap labor… it does benefit liberal politicians who seek more government entitlements and give-aways. 

We love our country and we want it back – what’s left of it.

And we don’t want our government persecuting benevolent organizations like the Salvation Army for requiring employees to learn English.

Talk about an ungrateful, gimme-gimme, lazy, racist, hypocritical turd. This lady lives in a nice apartment FOR FREE but gets the media to whine about utility payments, because she refuses to work. She’s only worked one year in her life. Get her off the dole, tell her to get a JOB like the rest of us, and stop stealing from other people by way of unreasonable and stupid taxes. Tax monies should go to the police, teachers, firemen, and other necessary things, and a few agencies to help people get good jobs so they can help themselves. Instead of having to give ungrateful people fish, teach grateful people how to fish. These kind of people though, shouldn’t get a penny. Not only is it stealing, but the audacity of the “gimme gimme” mindset–when she deserves non of it–is sickening. Look at their hateful eyes in the photo. She’s screaming that they won’t let everyone in, and yet it’s a first-come, first-serve basis for this public hearing. They can’t let everyone in. The reasons for not letting everyone else in has nothing to do with race. But trying to reason with such an insane person is futile.

CARACAS, Venezuela (AP) – President Hugo Chavez suffered a stunning defeat Monday in a referendum that would have let him run for re-election indefinitely and impose a socialist system in this major U.S. oil provider.
Voters defeated the sweeping measures Sunday by a vote of 51 percent to 49 percent, said Tibisay Lucena, chief of the National Electoral Council, with voter turnout at just 56 percent.

She said that with 88 percent of the votes counted, the trend was irreversible.

Opposition supporters shouted with joy as Lucena announced the results on national television early Monday, their first victory against Chavez after nine years of electoral defeats.
