SBA List Announces Early 2008 Candidate Endorsements

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: November 19, 2007 CONTACT: (703) 875-3370

Washington, D.C. – Today the Susan B. Anthony List Candidate Fund, a national pro-life Political Action Committee, announced a special early round of congressional candidate endorsements for the 2008 election cycle:

Melissa Hart (PA-04)

Robert Latta (OH-05)

Sue Myrick (NC-09)

Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (FL-18)

Jim Ryun (KS-02)

Jean Schmidt (OH-02)

Susan B. Anthony List Candidate Fund President Marjorie Dannenfelser commented on the early endorsements:

“The Susan B. Anthony List is proud to endorse these dedicated pro-life leaders who need our support more than ever to represent all Americans, born and unborn, in the halls of Congress.”

Several of the endorsed candidates face early challenges in the 2008 cycle. Robert Latta is the Republican candidate for the upcoming December 11th Special Election to replace the late Paul Gillmor in Ohio’s 5th district. Incumbent Representative Jean Schmidt will confront a primary challenge in March of next year. Former Representatives Hart and Ryun expect to engage in competitive primary races in April and August, respectively, as they seek to regain their seats in Congress.

“Susan B. Anthony List members are eager to support dedicated pro-life heroes when they need it most — right now,” said Dannenfelser. “The consequences of disengagement are dire. The lives of women and their unborn babies are on the line, and the Susan B. Anthony List Candidate Fund is ready to defend them at the ballot box.”

Susan B. Anthony List Candidate Fund endorsements are posted on the newly launched website, www.sba-listcf.org, which allows Susan B. Anthony List members to bundle contributions for endorsed candidates, access political updates about key Congressional races, register to vote and engage in pro-life advocacy efforts.

The Susan B. Anthony List Candidate Fund will continue to consider pro-life congressional and statewide candidates for endorsement throughout 2008. The SBA List Candidate Fund supports pro-life female candidates, as well as pro-life male candidates who run against pro-choice female candidates. The next round of endorsements is scheduled to be announced in early 2008.

The Susan B. Anthony List is a nationwide network of Americans, over 142,000 residing in all 50 states, dedicated to mobilizing, advancing, and representing pro-life women in politics. Its connected Candidate Fund increases the percentage of pro-life women in the political process.

Nancy Pelosi Tries to Force Companies to Hire Non-English Speakers

Pure stupidity. A Wall Street Journal article describes how Nancy Pelosi and other left-wing Democrats are trying to block and amendment that protects companies, including the Salvation Army, from lawsuits from people who can’t work for them because they lack the basic skill of speaking English in a primarily English-speaking country.

Racist Hispanic Quotes in the New York Times

The New York Times has a story about how a few Hispanic names have made it into the top 10 of most common American names, due to massive immigration (both legal and illegal). The Hispanic (those of descent from the Spanish imperialists (Conquistadors), who slaughtered the Aztecs and other peoples after sailing from Spain) numbers have jumped 58 percent in the 1990s! Strangely, the NY Times reporter doesn’t point out the racism in this quote:

Luis Padilla, 48, a banker who has lived in Miami since he arrived from Colombia 14 years ago, greeted the ascendance of Hispanic surnames enthusiastically.

“It shows we’re getting stronger,” Mr. Padilla said. “If there’s that many of us to outnumber the Anglo names, it’s a great thing.”

Padilla is just another ignorant racist who thinks in terms of categorizing people by race. Some have called this “brown supremacy,” though Hispanics obviously are not better than people who are not Hispanic, in any way. I have many Hispanic friends and thankfully most of them are nothing like this. They have friends of many different races–White, Black, Asian–and they don’t care about planning to take over America with people “like them.”

Sadly, if we don’t curb illegal immigration we will be a one-party country, with most of these illegal immigrants voting for Democrats and other socialists (those who don’t believe in personal responsibility but want total government control, where everyone is equally poor and no one wants to work because you get paid the same regardless of difficulty or intelligence required for a job).

Republicans want the government to protect innocent life, punish murderers and rapists and other evil people, and Democrats want to punish hard working, normal Americans by stealing their money and giving it to useless bureacracy. It has been proven in countless studies that socialism leads to economic disaster, because there is no incentive to work hard, or work at all. But with people like elected-now-dictator Hugo Chavez being elected into office and now consolidating power, that’s frightening for our country. If people are stupid enough to vote for Chavez, they should not be allowed into this country, based on personal responsibility and hard work.

Besides, the crime rates where illegal immigrants have been going have shot up. As Ann Coulter put it, if it were up to Democrats, we’d have two Latin Americas. If we keep illegal immigration the way it is, we not only allow our borders to be porous and let terrorists from countries liek Syria and Iran in, but our environment will continue to be destroyed from overpopulation and urban sprawl. Secure our borders and keep these racists out!
