Pro-Illegal Immigrant Mexicans Shoot at Dissenters

Tuesday, May 16th, 2006

What a surprise. Disagree with someone who advocates doing something illegal (invading a country and skipping ahead of line of law-abiding citizens from other countries) then they will do something illegal to try to intimidate you, like shoot at you. From the Drudge Report:

GUNFIRE AT WAFFLE HOUSE AFTER WHITES, HISPANICS ARGUE OVER CITIZENSHIP

A parting gunshot from a vehicle leaving Waffle House in West Asheville, NC shattered a window and caused a minor injury, police said.

The shooting happened around 3:00 a.m. Saturday after a group of whites argued with a group of Hispanics at the 24-hour restaurant on Smokey Park Highway, Asheville police Lt. Wallace Welch said

“The two groups were jawing back and forth with each other over citizenship issues and whatnot,” Welch said.

As the Hispanic group drove off, someone in the vehicle fired at least once into a large window near the front door, he said.

Whether from a ricocheted bullet or flying glass, Welch said, one man?s arm was bleeding when police arrived.

Police were looking for a white Dodge Intrepid that left the restaurant going west.

The Citizen Times has the 911 audio of the calls. Pro-illegals also like to throw rocks when someone disagrees with them as well. Seems like they want to suppress freedom of speech if they disagree with it.

Related: Michelle Malkin blogs on Bush’s recent speech. California Conservative has a good fact sheet about illegal immigrationand so does the Heritage Foundation.

Liberals like to complain that the rich get richer and the poor get poorer, but this is what will happen even more with illegal immigration and has done so already. The middle class is against illegal immigration, but the very rich who profit off the slave labor of the illegals and the very poor who want to skip ahead of the legal immigration line want illegal immigration. They are in the minority, and our votes should reflect this. Bush talked about how “they want freedom” in his speech last night. Well are they not free in Mexico? Is El Salvador not a democracy? Is Venezuela… oh wait nevermind.

Bottom line… Wait in line! The middle class is in the majority and should be able to speak their mind without being shot at by these crazies. The middle class should outweigh the super rich and the slave laborers in this debate.

Killing Pablo by Mark Bowden

Saturday, May 13th, 2006

buy the book from amazon.comI read Killing Pablo by Mark Bowden, it’s a pretty interesting book but not as well-written as Black Hawk Down in my opinion, also my Mark Bowden. It successfully illustrates how out of control Columbia was when drug kingpin Pablo Escobar was running the country by way of threats against the media, politicians and judges, turning the country into an all-out guerilla war zone. Sadly hundreds of people lost their lives; this book recreates the chaos of that war-torn country during that period.

Muslim Terrorists Admit to Beheading Christian Schoolgirls

Saturday, May 13th, 2006

Terrorists in Jakarta:

Seven suspected Islamic terrorists have confessed to beheading three Christian schoolgirls on Indonesia’s Sulawesi Island, police said on Wednesday.

The seven detained suspects confessed under questioning that they planned and carried out the October 29 beheadings in the Sulawesi town of Poso, police chief Lieutenant Colonel Rudi Sufahriadi told The Associated Press.

Another girl was wounded but spared by the assailants, he said.

Two of the suspects also say they have ties to Noordin Top, regarded as a key leader of the al-Qaeda-linked group Jemaah Islamiyah, according to Central Sulawesi police chief Brigadier General Oegroseno.

Indonesia has arrested scores of militants belonging to the al-Qaeda-linked Jemaah Islamiyah terror group in recent years.

Jemaah Islamiyah has been blamed for a series of suicide bombings in Indonesia in recent years, including two separate strikes on the tourist island of Bali.

Evil and disgusting.

Nazi Ideology Sympathizer Michael Schiavo Has a Blog

Saturday, May 13th, 2006

The early 1900’s Germans talked about “Life Unworthy of Life.” They wanted a “law for the annihilation of valueless lives” (Gesetz zur Vernichtung lebensunwen Lebens). The Holocaust began by killing the very young and disabled, then later all of the disabled. Parents of disabled children could write the government to kill their child. This led to compulsory killing. And of course the virulent anti-Semitism that had existed for centuries combined with Hitler’s maniacal hate towards Jews caused the murders of millions of Jews. The Holocaust is definitely a different phenomena that the current slide towards euthanasia and the culture of death. But they are both evil. We must fight against anyone who calls for the killing of the disabled as some “right.” Hitler called the disabled “useless eaters.”

A living, breathing human being was killed because she was disabled: her name was Terri Schiavo. What was the criteria to kill her? She did not need artifical respirator or anything else but to be fed. This woman who had gotten this way from anorexia eventually was starved to death by the leftist, activist courts and her husband Michael Schiavo. Not surprisingly, this Neo-Nazi now has a blog at DailyKos, the leftist (and therefore pro-abortion on demand, pro-partial birth abortion, and pro-killing of the disabled) blog.

Zoning Against Religious Freedom and Freedom of Assembly

Saturday, May 13th, 2006

In Bedford County, Virginia, a group’s constitutional right to freedom of religion has been curtailed. According to an article in the Bedford Bulletin, Garland Simmons has a “Cowboy Church” meet at his place.

Simmons was notified by Bedford County officials that the Cowboy Church meetings violate county zoning regulations.

“I got the notice certified through the mail, Monday morning,” Simmons said.

The notice consisted of two letters. One was from Gary McIver, the county’s building official. McIver wrote that, by hosting the Cowboy Church on his property, Simmons is using it in a manner contrary to its agricultural (AR) zoning.

He also wrote that the building in which the Cowboy Church is being held, is defined as a farm building by the Virginia Uniform Statewide Building Code. The Cowboy Church constitutes a change of use for the building.

“We are all in agreement that this event is a worthy and admirable cause,” McIver wrote.

However, he wrote that it is an unpermitted change of use for the property.

The other letter was from Lindsay Blankenship, a planner in the county’s department of planning. It directs Simmons to “obtain the necessary permits for the establishment of a Religious Assembly” on the property by May 28.

“I don’t think it’s the county,” commented Simmons. “It’s somebody that is against religion or against me.”

The Rev. Raymond Bell, the Cowboy Church’s pastor, agrees that somebody has filed a complaint with the county.

Simmons has retained Robert Wandrei, a Bedford attorney, to represent him. Wandrei said that they plan to try to talk to county officials and get a resolution. Wandrei noted that Simmons has a right to appeal the county’s decision.

County Attorney Carl Boggess said that the county has received an appeal from Simmons.

Meanwhile, the Liberty Counsel has contacted Bell. According to Liberty Counsel’s Web site at www.lc.org, the organization offers free legal representation to people whose civil liberties have been denied. Bell said the organization called him Friday evening and he agreed to accept their offer of representation.

China Plans to Drill off U.S. Coast

Tuesday, May 9th, 2006

china wants to drill for oil north of cuba

Imagine black oil washing up onto the shore of Key West and other beaches in South Florida, choking and killing thousands of birds, fish and other wildlife. It would be the Exxon Valdez all over again, but this time instead of off the Alaskan coast, it would be on the beautiful beaches of South Florida. Florida would then lose billions of dollars in tourism dollars and would need federal dollars to help clean up this mess.

That’s what could happen if China gets its way and begins drilling north of Cuba, just 45 miles from Key West and an accident occurred. It’s bad enough that China wants to drill for oil just miles from the the United States.

While some politicians want to drill off the Florida coast, Senator Bill Nelson of Florida rightly points out that a Cuban oil spill could devastate Florida’s environment and $50-billion tourism industry. He wants to block drilling north of Cuba:

“Any oil spill 45 miles from Key West is going to absolutely devastate all those delicate coral reefs, the fragile Florida Keys, and would endanger pristine beaches all the way up to Fort Pierce,” said Nelson, a Democrat.

Cuba pumps about 80,000 barrels of oil a day in Havana and Matanzas provinces, but it is of poor quality and meets less than half of the country’s needs.

Thus there has been considerable excitement about fields off the northwest Cuban coast that could contain 4.5-billion to 9-billion barrels of oil - almost as much as in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge in Alaska.

In February 2005, Castro announced that huge Chinese drilling rigs would be used to further explore areas in which a Spanish company had reported promising results. The Cuban government also signed a contract with China’s oil and gas company, Sinopec, to work in areas around the island thought to contain oil deposits.

We should prevent them from drilling anywhere near the U.S. Coast, with military ships if neccessary. Why not? It threatens billions of dollars in tourism revenue, plus I don’t want anything Chinese that close to our shores.

Richard Cohen Experiences Leftist Intolerance

Tuesday, May 9th, 2006

You think Colbert’s not funny?  Watch out!  The crazy e-mailers are at it again.  Richard Cohen finally knows what it’s like to be attacked for straying from the leftist lockstep orthodoxy:

Two weeks ago I wrote about Al Gore’s new movie on global warming. I liked the film. In response, I instantly got more than 1,000 e-mails, most of them praising Gore, some calling him the usual names and some concluding there was no such thing as global warming, if only because Gore said there was. I put the messages aside for a slow day, when I would answer them. Then I wrote about Stephen Colbert and his unfunny performance at the White House correspondents’ dinner.

Kapow! Within a day, I got more than 2,000 e-mails. A day later, I got 1,000 more. By the fourth day, the number had reached 3,499 — a figure that does not include the usual offers of nubile Russian women or loot from African dictators. The Colbert messages began with Patrick Manley (”You wouldn’t know funny if it slapped you in the face”) and ended with Ron (”Colbert ROCKS, you MURDER”) who was so proud of his thought that he copied countless others. Ron, you’re a genius.

I’ve experienced similiar knee-jerk reactions in some classes while obtaining my Journalism Master’s.  For example, one student who never could complete a sentence without staring into space (LSD much?) decided to do her story on ghosts in an alleged haunted house.  No one criticized her, since she was just wanting to write about ghosts.  The only person that did was a more-tolerant liberal who pointed out that people pretend to see “glowing orbs” in photographs.

Another student decided to write her story about a stripper who had had two abortions and was about to have another but decided against it, became a Christian, got a steady man in her life, and now volunteers at a crisis pregnancy center.  The ghost-story student loudly said, “This isn’t going to be a Jesus saves story is it!”  When I said I might write my story about the faith-based prison initiative in Florida, the same student yelled, “Uh!  That is such crap!”  This same woman believes in shamans and Taoism.

If you are pro-life, or even have problems with late-term abortions, against killing of the disabled newborns (or any newborns for that matter), against gay marriage, for traditional values, against porn (or even just extreme porn), for a strong national defense, against illegal immigration, then watch out:  leftists can’t argue against you using reason, so they will rely on fallacies and name-calling.

U.S. Border Patrol Working Against Securing Our Border

Tuesday, May 9th, 2006

Michelle Malkin links with an article that details how the U.S. Border Patrol notifies the Mexican government of where the Minutemen are located, enabling smugglers and traffickers to illegally cross the border more effectively:

While Minuteman civilian patrols are keeping an eye out for illegal border crossers, the U.S. Border Patrol is keeping an eye out for Minutemen — and telling the Mexican government where they are.

While I am of course against violence against illegal immigrants, can’t this be used to put the Minutemen in harm’s way, especially since many of the Mexican traffickers carry automatic or semi-automatic weapons? We need a reinforced wall to keep criminals out. Call your congressman and senator today.

Rapist Aid Workers Should be in Jail

Tuesday, May 9th, 2006

The BBC has an article about evil pieces of crap that force young girls to have sex with them in return for food:

Young girls in Liberia are still being sexually exploited by aid workers and peacekeepers despite pledges to stamp out such abuse, Save the Children says.

Girls as young as eight are being forced to have sex in exchange for food by workers for local and international agencies, according to its report.

The agency says such abuse is continuing as people displaced by the civil war return to their villages.

The UN in Liberia said it would investigate specific allegations.
